Abu Sa`eed al-Khudri relates that the Messenger of Allah salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam said: “Fasting is a shield with which a servant protects himself from the Fire.”

Abū Hurayrah relates that Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) said: “Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should speak a good word or remain silent. And whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should show hospitality to his neighbor. And whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should show hospitality to his guest.”[ Sahīh al-Bukhārī and Sahīh Muslim ]

Abu Hurayrah (RA) reported that Allaah’s Messenger sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said: “When a human being dies, all of his deeds are terminated except for three types:
1. an ongoing sadaqah,
2. a knowledge (of Islaam) from which others benefit,
3. and a righteous child who makes du’aa for him.”[Muslim and others].
